On Wednesday 16th September we were delighted to welcome customers to our offices as part of our 30th anniversay celebrations.
The event got off to a fantastic start with a warm welcome from our CEO Carron, followed by a short video reflecting on CVHA’s journey and achievements over the past 30 years.
We were then delighted to hear from former CVHA Board Member, Campbell Boyd, who shared his personal reflections and memories of the organisation. Campbell spoke about the transfer of properties from Scottish Homes, the development of our office space, and the many milestones he has witnessed throughout CVHA’s journey.
This was followed by an inspiring contribution from Customer Panel Member, Margaret Parton. Margaret has been a CVHA customer for many years and has spent most of her life in Douglas, having been born in the very house she still calls home today. Her story provided a wonderful reminder of the strong connections between our communities and the people who live within them.
After lunch, our Community Connector Frances got everyone energised for the afternoon with a fun quiz before handing over to Customer Service Director Fin, who facilitated a creative future-thinking session. Customers were invited to share their ideas, hopes and aspirations for what life could look like in 2056, sparking engaging discussions about the future of our communities, homes and services.
The event concluded with closing remarks from our Chair, Andrew McFarlane, who thanked everyone for their contributions and support before bringing a memorable day of celebration and reflection to a close.
Thank you to everyone who came along, we hope you enjoyed the day and hope to see you again at future events!
